Qualifications: 

- Requires two-year technical degree AND three or more years of relevant experience OR more than 5 years of relevant experience with no degree.

- Be able to perform and document EH&S (Environmental Health & Safety) safety audits

- Ensure work is completed safely and to design specifications

- Responsible for identifying and assisting in the resolution of issues that could compromise the success of a project (e.g. design issues, material issues, Contractor performance issues, access issues, customer issues, etc.)

- Provide efficient customer service and communicate with field personnel often

This role requires flexibility to spend extended time in Puerto Rico (at least 6 months, with scheduled time off every 6–8 weeks) to assist with system improvements. You will need to lead and directly supervise field execution of testing, commissioning, and telecom activities. Ensure all systems are tested, validated and placed into service safely, accurately and in full compliance. 

Qualifications: 

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or related field, or equivalent experience through combination of education, training and field experience

- 5+years of experience in Protection & Controls, apparatus testing, commissioning or telecom within electrical utility or substation environment.

- Site prep, grading, and compaction

- Forming and pouring concrete pads and containment pits to specified elevations and dimensions

- Installation of rebar per engineered drawings, cutting and bending will be required

- Setting anchor bolts and embeds accurately

- Finishing concrete to required standards 

- Ensuring proper curing and quality control
